Course Details

We have launched an exciting new Association for Coaching accredited coaching training for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists, the first cohort of trainees are about to qualify as Accredited coaches with the Association for Coaching. This training programme enables practitioners to develop to the level of coaching to map on their professional development needs.

The training programme leads to Accreditation as an Accredited Individual Coach with the Association for Coaching, and the sessions are delivered over the following structure:

 

  • 6 days of teaching.  

The first two days are delivered face-to-face in central Liverpool as a two day block.  This allows for group members, a maximum of 12, to get to know each other and be introduced to the course and the core principles of coaching.  After which, individual training days will be delivered online via Zoom.  

 

The course is taught across three primary blocks:

 

Coaching Block One:

Developing core coaching skills and competencies

Coaching Block Two:

Integrating coaching with other modalities and developing pluralistic practice

Coaching Block Three:

Continuing professional practice and supervision leading to individual coach accreditation.

 

The dates for the training delivery (which requires 100% attendance) are:

10 and 11 September 2026 (face to face in central Liverpool)

22 October 2026 (Zoom)

6 November 2026 (Zoom)

15 January 2027 (Zoom)

12 February 2027 (Zoom)

All days will run from 9.00 am - 4.30 pm

Assessment for successful completion of the programme will include:

 

  • 100 hours of coaching practise, via submission of a coaching log

  • 6 coaching supervision sessions, via submission of a reflective supervision record. All 6 coaching supervision sessions are provided within the training programme and are attended via Zoom.

  • 2 client references

 

Plus, the following assessment activities which will be assessed through a variety of methods, including written work, observation, presentation:

 

  • Personal coach approach (500 words equivalent delivered via a presentation)

  • Case study (500 words equivalent discussed in supervision)

  • Create a continuous professional development plan for your coaching

  • The review of a recording of a 20-minute live coaching session in the 5th supervision session

The group supervision dates, all held online via Zoom, are scheduled for the mornings of the following dates.  Exact timings to be confirmed:

3 December 2026

4 March 2027

22 April 2027

13 May 2027

1 July 2027

You will develop the core skills and competencies to practice as a coach, and you can complete this stage with individual accreditation with the Association for Coaching as an Individual Accredited Coach.

 

The programme will equip you with a range of coaching theories, alongside the opportunity to examine the similarities and differences between coaching and therapeutic work. To develop your coaching philosophy, you will also explore your existing practice as a practitioner in relation to your new coaching work, to help you decide if you wish to integrate coaching and your therapeutic practice, or practice as a coach independently.

Course Costs

The programme costs £2550, inclusive of all materials,  6 x full days of face to face and online training, plus 6 x supervision sessions.

If booked before end-of-business 8 May 2026 we can offer an early-bird discount of £100 (total cost £2450).

Refreshments will be provided on arrival, mid-morning and mid-afternoon during the two in-person teaching days.  Lunch wont be provided but the venue location has its own cafe, as well as being located within walking distance of hundreds of different places to each, accommodating all dietary requirements and budgets.

Once you have expressed an interest in the programme and been offered a place, this will be secured on receipt of a £500 non-refundable deposit.  Dates of final payments will be advised soon after booking.
